Curriculum

Towards the end of my time working as an assistant physician as part of my training to become an orthopaedic surgeon, the last ward I spent time on at the Schulthess Klinik was the foot and ankle department, at which point I was already on the lookout for a follow-up post in another clinic. I thought this would give me the opportunity to gain further insight into the secrets of foot and ankle surgery. That was more than ten years ago now. Since then, I have had the opportunity to acquire sound knowledge of problems and treatments of the foot and ankle joint. The appealing thing about foot and ankle surgery is its diversity and complexity. Our commitment to improving or restoring patients’ mobility is just as strong as ever. The Foot and Ankle Surgery department is also a firm fixture of a clinic that’s second to none in terms of infrastructure and interdisciplinary expertise.
