Annual Report 2025
2025 was a year of continuity and further development for Schulthess Klinik. In a challenging environment in terms of healthcare policy characterised by increasing regulatory requirements, growing cost pressure and high expectations relating to transparency and quality, we were able to further consolidate our position as a leading international specialist hospital.
In 2025, we treated 9,295 inpatients and performed 11,123 operations. Confidence in our medical quality is high, both regionally and nationally, and increasingly also on the international stage. This development is no coincidence. It is the result of a clear understanding of quality, consistent specialisation and the close link between the hospital and research.
New management team
At the same time, 2025 also proved to be an important year in terms of office holders. With Peter Bodmer as the new President of the Board of Trustees and the new CEO, Rodolphe Eurin, the course has been set for the next phase of development. Together, we are working to further strengthen the cycle of foundation, research and hospital – as a basis for stability, innovation and long-term impact.
Quality of life is at the heart of everything
The outlook is clear: 2026 will be marked by strategic development. We want to safeguard our medical excellence and, where appropriate, continue to expand it. We see quality not as a project, but as a lasting commitment. Our aim remains to tailor treatments even more precisely to individual benefits. Key elements in this regard are our research, international partnerships and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Because, ultimately, it always comes down to the same thing: helping people get back on their feet as quickly as possible after injuries or operations and restoring their quality of life.
The Schulthess system brings together the Foundation, the hospital and research under one roof. As the sponsoring body, the Foundation manages the flow of money and enables our research department to investigate questions arising from day-to-day clinical practice. The results of the research flow directly into the hospital where they then directly benefit our patients – always with the aim of improving their quality of life.
