News Shoulder and Elbow Surgery department recognised as an SECEC/ESSSE Teaching Center
The European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow (SECEC/ESSSE) has recognised our Shoulder and Elbow Surgery department, which is led by Prof. Dr. med. Markus Scheibel, as a Teaching Centre.
SECEC introduced the SECEC/ESSSE certificate to ensure uniformly high standards of quality in the training of young shoulder and elbow surgeons and correspondingly high standards in the practice of shoulder and elbow surgery across Europe.
Applicants for the certificate must have attended a significant number of SECEC/ESSSE-recognised training courses and conferences, while guest fellowships at recognised SECEC teaching centres are another prerequisite.
Schulthess Klinik is delighted to have received the recognition required to become such a Teaching Centre, and looks forward to making an even greater contribution to training shoulder and elbow surgeons at European level.
