News Schulthess Klinik plays a key role in shaping the world’s largest conference on shoulder replacement surgery
At the start of February 2026, Schulthess Klinik will have an exceptionally strong presence at the Paris International Shoulder Course. This internationally renowned specialist conference is considered the world’s largest conference on shoulder arthroplasty, bringing together leading shoulder experts from all over the world.
The conference will run over three intensive days and cover all aspects of modern shoulder replacement surgery. The programme includes high-calibre scientific lectures, live operations, interactive case discussions, practical ultrasound workshops and a special pre-conference course.
The pre-conference course will take place on 4 February 2026, while the main conference will run from 5 to 7 February 2026 at the Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris (France).
For many years now, the Paris International Shoulder Course has been organised by Prof. Dr. med. Markus Scheibel jointly with Prof. J.-D. Werthel and Prof. Philippe Valenti. Under their leadership, the conference has evolved into one of the world’s most important platforms for innovation, training and international exchange in shoulder surgery.
This year, nearly all members of the Schulthess Klinik shoulder team will be represented through their own contributions. The numerous presentations and active participation in the scientific programme underline the international recognition of Schulthess Klinik’s clinical and scientific expertise.
