Featured Once again ranked the best orthopaedic clinic in Switzerland

We are delighted to receive this award, which underscores our longstanding commitment to quality: what matters is not only the medical success of a procedure, but whether it leads to a lasting improvement in our patients’ lives.

What is now the subject of intense debate under the term ‘Value-Based Healthcare’ (VBHC) has been standard practice at our clinic for more than 20 years. Since 2004, we have systematically collected data on how our patients are doing following treatment. Using so-called Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), we assess factors such as pain, mobility, physical function and quality of life. We use these findings to continuously refine and improve our treatments.

‘For us, an operation is not successful simply because the procedure itself has been technically successful. What matters is whether the patient is able to live a better life afterwards – with less pain, greater mobility and a better quality of life.

Rodolphe Eurin, CEO of the Schulthess Clinic

We also maintain close international links with leading orthopaedic institutions. Europe’s number one, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and the world’s number one, the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, are strategic partners of the Schulthess Clinic.
